Living life in this paradise

I LOVE every single moment I spent in California...
*
San Francisco -- the big vibrant metropolitan that makes me feel like home. Since I grew up in a city, I would be like a fish out of water without an urban life. The daily journey to Berkeley from SF reminds me of the days I travelled to and fro HELP university college by LRT... I could detour to a lot of great places to chill along the way.

Whenever I'm on the Bay Bridge, I will look out of the window of the bus to enjoy the spectacular scenery... trying to capture the pretty bay scenery as deep as possible into my mind, imprinting the deepest memories that will last forever...

Downtown SF: as good as Bukit Bintang and Orchard Road combined. My fav hangout place. =D

Super huge Forever 21... one of many great stores in Downtown SF.
Roasted chicken n ducks (with rice)... I can get almost everything I want from home in SF... (like Milo and Ipoh White Coffee...?)
*
Besides, there are lots more great attractions and events in SF and other places near SF...

The Pride parade... celebrating the diversity of the city with 5 sexes ; )

San Jose City

Ocean Beach... SF

4th of July: SF suppose to hav d greatest firework show in the West coast... this is how it looks like last year...

...this year? it was darn foggy in SF and very disappointing. I've waited the whole afternoon in the cold to grab a nice spot, but ended up seeing d blurly version of firework show at pier 39.

we visited Stanford!
*

...and the place I love the best is Monterey!

~ I LOVE CALIFORNIA!!! YIPEE~

the crooked tree...
eeriely beauty...
Carmel-by-the-sea: finest beach ever! =D
*
In fact, I've only 1 month left in California! HOW SAD!!!!!! Time is so unforgiving... too little time for me to enjoy my dream university, my dream city, and my dream life.
*
...update more soon!

Survival of the fittest?

This occurs on 4th of July at Embarcadero (Port of San Frans) when i was on my way to watch the fireworks...

Oh! Seagull! wait... wat's in its mouth??

...apparently it's a pigeon. OMG. and the pigeon was still alive!
...who says seagull eats fish only?

poor pigeon was struggling for its dear life... feathers were everywhere...
*
and this predator-prey struggling scene has attracted a lot of curious onlookers at the Port of San Frans

the seagull was damn "ganas"... after this shot the pigeon actually manage to escaped from the seagull beak and flew for quite a distance to a near by fountain. But the seagull chased the pigeon and again caught it in its beak and ran away...
*
...no human intervened or helped that poor little soul though...
*
well, tat's the nature of survival of the fittest i guess. It somehow change my impression towards the oh-so-tame-looking seagulls. What an interesting yet gruesome scene on 4th of July.

http://www.sinchew.com.my/node/72442?tid=1

if you don't understand go google translate source.

look who starts the racial discrimination topic first? I dunno if i should laugh at the naive-ness of that dude, or feel disappointed that it takes me more than 10 yrs to realize that
我爱我的国家,但国家根本不爱我!

This is Heaven

It has been a week in California, and I enjoy every single moment I have here...

THIS PLACE IS AAAAWWWWWWWWEEEESOME~!!! (i wish i can drag awww... longer)

UC Berkeley is indeed as great as I expected. The professors are all really good, the diversity of the students is amazing (ABCs everywhere, ppl converse in all kinds of languages around d campus, and I feel that it's easier to fit in here), the school place HUGE emphasis in Life Science, there're bunch of shops just outside the campus to hang out, and it's very near to SAN FRANS, d BIG city and basically u can get anything u want here! (asam laksa, fresh sushi, durian milkshake, anyone?)

Told u it is my dream school... I know what I like. ; )

Oh, just that the weather is not as hot as i expected. Though it's summer now, it has no difference than Ann Arbor Spring weather. Still need jackets on most of d time. =.= Since I live in San Francisco, I've to travel to Berkeley every morning... and i cross the magnificent Bay Bridge everyday! Moreover, I think there's not much flat land around the Bay Area, there’re slopes and more steep slopes everywhere! I've used to walking uphill n downhill everyday... burn a lot of fat huh? XD

Since my class ends at noon and free on the weekends, I have whole lot of free time to roam around downtown, sometimes drop by at Chinatown just to grab some super delicious egg tarts and dim sum. There're so many things to see and experience here... Life's great!

I just realized that there are NO Malaysians in UCB, just me... with a bunch of Singaporean friends, yet I survive extremely well.

I guess I've found the place that I always want to be, the heaven where I wish to stay at forever~

Hope time will not pass too fast... and I will cherish the 2-month stay in this heaven. =)

Berkeley-bound~

I woke up with a strong white fluorescent light in my eyes; subconsciously, I poked my laptop on, and found that the last webpage I visited was "how to stay awake" video on videojug. What an irony... Oh, did i mention that I have my headphone on my head when I awake?

Happens all d time... I accidentally fell asleep again yesterday night.

In next 12 hours, I'll be on my way to San Francisco for my summer session in UC Berkeley. woohoo~ Very very excited! Gonna enjoy d vibrant city and sunshine to d max!!! =D

My part of my room is now almost empty. I've packed all my stuffs into boxes, as I'll be moving out from my house after I come back from San Frans. So, gonna have my own private room starting Fall. good in a way though. And what surprised me is that I only have so few things after staying 6 months in US: only 1 luggage, 1 big box and 3 small boxes... hm...

Oh well.

Anyway, CONGRATULATIONSSS for those who are gonna leave INTEC. *owh... finally. no more weird rules, baju kurung, wearing jackets in hot weather, long sleeve shirts that cover buttocks. heheheh...

Alright... will update more in Berkeley. :D

麻雀,take care.

Retail Therapy =D

My greatest accomplishment from the Birchrun outlet trip: Goodies from Guess, Levi's, Tommy Hilfiger, Adidas, GAP, Fossil... and yummy cookies from Pepperidge farm! =D

This's the day I've got myself all BRANDED stuffs from head to toe in just 4 hrs! woohoo!!!

... they are ridiculously cheap!!!

for example... my dearest Fossil watch. I checked the price of my newly bought watch at the Fossil official web, and it costs $65.00

...and i got mine for only $29.99... XDXDXD... sooo happie.

oh well, i guess i've controlled myself pretty well on spending... or else i can buy moreeee stuffs! Luvin' Birchrun! =D
